IN celebration of this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, Hotel Alexandra introduces an exciting collection of mooncakes.
Featuring six mooncakes of three unique flavours including a Sea Salt Murasaki Imo (Purple Sweet Potato) with Salted Egg Yolk, Fresh Pineapple Creamy Custard, and Lady Grey Tea Milky Lava.
Meticulously prepared, each mooncake is carefully handcrafted in-house by the hotel’s dedicated award-winning pastry chefs incorporating traditional western baking styles with fresh ingredients from Asia.
Visually stunning and perfectly balanced in flavour and texture, each mooncake is individually emblazoned with an artistic floral pattern.
The Sea Salt Murasaki Imo (Purple Sweet Potato) with Salted Egg Yolk Mooncake features hints of sea salt and a rich salted egg yolk that heightens the sweetness of the sweet potato.
The ideal refreshing treat, the Fresh Pineapple Creamy Custard Mooncake is filled with juicy jam made in-house using the freshest pineapples, encapsulated with creamy vanilla infused custard and a golden buttery crust.
Flavoured using the finest blends of fragrant Lady Grey Tea from TWININGS, the original Lady Grey Tea Milky Lava Mooncake is slow baked to perfection ensuring a creamy texture within and finished with a milky lava center that lavishly oozes with each delectable bite.
The Mooncake Trinity Collection is presented within a glamourous box of six mooncakes (110 grams per piece) priced at HK$398 per box.
